Uru 30 Stainless Steel High Temperature RFID Tag
Flat stainless-steel on-metal UHF RFID tag for heavy-duty industrial assets exposed to temperatures up to 250°C. Uru 30 combines Alien H3, IP68 protection, screw/rivet/epoxy mounting and up to 3 m read range.
Flat stainless-steel RFID for heavy-duty industrial assets and equipment
Uru 30 is a flat heavy-duty on-metal UHF RFID tag for equipment and industrial assets exposed to demanding mechanical, environmental and thermal conditions. Its 60 × 35 × 7 mm stainless-steel construction supports screw, rivet or epoxy mounting, IP68 protection and up to 3 m read range.
250°C is an exposure rating — not the normal operating temperature
Uru 30 is designed for industrial processes with high-temperature exposure up to 250°C. Normal operating temperature is -40°C to 85°C.
Reading after cooling is recommended because RF performance and read range can decrease while the tag is hot. High-temperature writing should not be assumed.
Uru 30 specifications
Actual service life and RF performance depend on temperature profile, mounting, chemicals, mechanical stress and asset geometry. Validate representative samples before volume deployment.
Plate-style mounting for heavy-duty equipment
Uru 30 uses a flat stainless-steel form factor for industrial assets where a robust plate-style RFID tag is easier to integrate than a threaded tag. Mechanical fastening is preferred for demanding environments, while epoxy can be used where appropriate.
- Screw or rivet mounting is preferred for demanding mechanical environments
- Epoxy mounting is possible when the surface and thermal profile are suitable
- Confirm mounting orientation and surrounding metal geometry before volume deployment
- Laser-marked characters or barcodes can be considered when visual identification is also required
ETSI and FCC versions
Select the frequency version according to the deployment region and reader configuration.
- ETSI: 866–868 MHz
- FCC: 902–928 MHz
- Confirm regional frequency before ordering samples or production quantities

Application validation
Validate the tag against the real process before volume deployment
For flat stainless-steel RFID tags, final performance depends on the mounting surface, fastener or epoxy method, surrounding metal geometry, temperature exposure and reader position. Validate representative samples on the real asset before volume deployment.
