As the media to link physical world and the virtual digital world of IoT, the RFID tag has been widely applied in the access control, retail, warehousing, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, automation, animal identification, library, brand protection, laundry management, asset management, and other fields, to bring efficiency improvement, cost reduction, operation optimization, and error reduction as well as other significant benefits for the end-users.

Types of RFID Tags

Crepak offers various top performance, high quality and economic RFID tags for many applications, including:
  • Passive LF Tag
    Passive LF Tag
LF RFID tag operation principle is electromagnetic coupling, its operating frequency is 125 kHz and 134 kHz, can be identified in a short distance (less than 5 cm), slow speed, small memory but friendly to metal, biological and liquid material.
  • Passive HF Tag
    Passive HF Tag
Crepak is a professional HF RFID tag manufacturer, the operation principle is electromagnetic coupling. its frequency range is 13.56MHz, and there are three standards for HF RFID labels, ISO 14443, ISO15693, and NFC Forum.
  • Passive UHF Tag
    Passive UHF Tag
Crepak is a UHF RFID tag manufacturer, the operation principle of RFID tag is electromagnetic emission, its frequency range is 860-960 Mhz, it features long reading distance (up to 30 meters), batch identification (up to 1000units).
  • Active Visual Tags
    Active Visual Tags
Crepak is also a active rfid tag manufacturer. Active RFID tag operation principle is electromagnetic emission, different from passive RFID tags, active RFID tag is powered by battery, its operation frequency is 433MHz, 2.45GHz and 5.8GHz.
  • High Temperature RFID Tags
    High Temperature RFID Tags
High temperature RFID Tag is made of special substrate while chip is packaged and welded onto antenna, so that it can be stored in over 150℃ temperature, even 250℃ extreme temperature.
  • Long Range RFID Tags
    Long Range RFID Tags
Long range RFID Tag is designed with talented antenna and made of high permittivity substrate. The return signal can be transmitted in longer range, normally it can reach 5 meters and even up to 13 meters distance while read by fixed reader.
  • On Metal RFID Tags
    On Metal RFID Tags
On metal RFID tag operates in two kinds of principles, the one is through talented antenna, and another way is to use absorbing material to reduce the influence of metal material.
  • Proximity Range Tag
    Proximity Range Tag
Proximity Range RFID Tag is normally LF or HF tag, its data is transmitted via inductive coupling electromagnetic, so that its reading range is only few centimeters,
  • Rugged RFID Tags
    Rugged RFID Tags
Rugged RFID Tag is normally encapsulated in special housing with protection on chip, it can be used in rainy, sunshine, vibration, dusty, washing, and so on. It can reach IP65 or even IP69K grade and can be used for long time and recycle use.
  • Small RFID Tags
    Small RFID Tags
A small RFID tag can be pasted to small assets surface or embedded in irregular assets, it can be as small as φ1.4x8mm or 5x2.8x1.8mm.
  • Tamper Proof RFID Tags
    Tamper Proof RFID Tags
Tamper proof RFID tags can be made to be visual tamper proof or electronic tamper proof. for visual tamper proof tag, it has to be removed by destroyed so that it can be visibly detected but still readable, while for electronic tamper proof tag, it can't be read if it is removed.

Package of RFID Tags

Generally, RFID tags are composed of chips, antennas, and packaging materials. According to the RFID technology used, they can be divided into passive low frequency, high frequency, ultra-high frequency, and active tags. Depends on application requirements, its form factor can be RFID label, RFID card, RFID fob, RFID coil, RFID inlay, RFID glass tube, or another shape of plastic or metal.

Crepak RFID Tags Advantages

As an RFID tag manufacturer with more than 10 years of experience, Crepak has been specializing in the development and production of RFID tags, providing various forms of LF, HF, UHF and Active tags to big companies in various industries around the world. How RFID Tags Work

As the name implies, passive tags wait for a signal from an RFID reader device. The reader sends energy to an antenna which converts that energy into an RF wave that is sent into the red zone. Once the tag is read within the red zone, the RFID tag's internal antenna draws in energy from the RF waves. The energy moves from the tag's antenna to the IC and powers the chip which generates a signal back to the RF system. This is called backscatter. The backscatter, or change in the electromagnetic or RF wave, is detected by the reader (via the antenna), which interprets the information.
